Kim Blackwell In Conversation With...
Judith Thompson
Judith is a Canadian playwright who lives in Toronto, Ontario. She has twice been awarded the Governor General's Award for drama and is the recipient of the Order of Canada. She has received honorary doctorates from Thorneloe University and, in November 2016, Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. She is the artistic director of Rare Theatre, dedicated to creating work with artists who are rarely seen and seldom heard. Productions have included Rare, with a cast of actors with Down Syndrome performers, Borne, with wheelchair users and recently, After the Blackout, with a cast including blind, deaf and brain damaged actors. Judith is currently working on writing her first novel.
