Dr. Cynthia Ashperger works as a director, actor, producer, writer and pedagogue. Selected directing credits: The Women by Clare Booth Luce, George Kaplan by Frédéric Sonntag, Tales from the Vienna Woods by Ödön von Horváth, Tender Napalm by Philip Ridley, Martin Chuzzlewit by Charles Dickens adapted by Michael Hollingsworth,  Peace by Aristophanes adapted by Velina Hasu Houston, and A Summer Day by Jon Fosse. Cynthia has been teaching acting at XU (Ryerson University) since 1995 and was appointed Director of Acting in 2004, until 2019. A master teacher of Chekhov Technique, she has lectured and directed nationally and internationally in Australia, Croatia, England, Finland, Germany, Holland, Japan, Korea and Serbia.
