Edward Belanger*, Fight Director - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Edward has had the great pleasure of serving as 4th Line Theatre’s Fight Director since 2004. His credits with the company include The Housekeeper, Wild Irish Geese (2025), The Cavan Blazers (2004, 2011, 2023), A History of Drinking in Cavan, Carmel, Who Killed Snow White?, Wounded Soldiers, The Bad Luck Bank Robbers, The Winslows of Derryvore, Schoolhouse, The Art of Silent Killing, and Doctor Barnardo’s Children. Edward is also a high school drama teacher in Toronto, where he is passionate about developing young artists. His productions include original student works along with large-scale shows such as The Izard of Oz, Mamma Mia!, Chicago, The Addams Family, Footloose, Big Fish, The Laramie Project, Macbeth, Our Town, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Outsiders, and Schoolhouse (2012 & 2018). As an actor, Edward has played Dane Swain in The Cavan Blazers (4th Line Theatre), Orlando in As You Like It (Dream in High Park), Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet (Globe Theatre, Regina), the Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz (Grand Theatre, London), Mozart in Amadeus (Studio Theatre, Edmonton), and appeared in Mary’s Wedding (Prairie Theatre Exchange) and Mamma Mia! (Mirvish Productions). He is a certified Fight Director with Fight Directors Canada and a proud member of the Canadian Actors’ Equity Association.
Kim Blackwell, Managing Artistic Director; Director/Dramaturge – Wild Irish Geese
2026 marks Kim’s 32nd season with 4th Line Theatre where she has directed 32 productions including 19 world premieres. Her play A Daughter had its world premiere in 2020 as a part of the Open Spaces Theatre Festival and was selected to be a part of the International Rural Women’s Studies Conference hosted by University of Guelph in 2021. Kim was inducted into Peterborough’s Pathway of Fame in September 2016. In 2020 she received Toronto theatre critic Lynn Slotkin’s Jon Kaplan Mensch Award. Kim recently joined the Playwright’s Guild of Canada. Kim is working on her first solo, full-length play for 4th Line, The Lost Souls.
Leanna Brodie, Playwright - Schoolhouse
Leanna Brodie is an award-winning playwright whose work has been produced across Canada and internationally: Schoolhouse and For Home and Country played two seasons each at the 4th Line Theatre, making this her 5th year at the Farm. Recently, Salesman in China, co-written with Jovanni Sy, premiered at the Stratford Festival/NAC to great acclaim: the Globe and Mail called it “a brilliant new play, fully ready to take the world’s stages by storm”. Brodie is also a leading translator of contemporary Québécois plays. Recent productions: Catherine Léger's Home Deliveries (Ruby Slippers Theatre/Jericho Arts Centre, Vancouver); David Paquet's Wildfire (Factory Theatre, Toronto ON) and The Weight of Ants (The Cherry Arts, Ithaca NY). Kiana Bromley, Event & Marketing Coordinator
Kiana (she/her) is delighted to be returning to the Farm as the Event & Marketing Coordinator this summer. She is a recent marketing graduate and has been part of the 4th Line Theatre community both onstage and offstage for four summers, as well as supporting marketing efforts during the off-season. Kiana loves finding ways to blend her passion for theatre with creative marketing and is thrilled to be a part of the team for the 2026 summer season.
Frances Bundy*, Stage Manager - Schoolhouse
Frances is a Toronto-based stage manager and is incredibly excited to be working with 4th Line for the first time! She has worked with several theatres across the country including Crow’s, Soulpepper, The Citadel, Talk Is Free, Drayton Entertainment, Thousand Islands Playhouse, Catalyst Theatre, TheatreYes and ReadyGo Theatre. She holds a BFA in Stage Management from the University of Alberta. She would like to thank her parents, her husband Erik and Monica for bringing her along on this beautiful show.

Greg Carruthers*, Intimacy Director - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Greg is an award-winning producer, choreographer and intimacy director based in Toronto. Intimacy direction credits include We Will Rock You (Mirvish Productions) and Bluebeard's Castle/Erwartung (Canadian Opera Company). Greg has choreographed for The Second City, PepsiCo, Canada's Wonderland, The Grand Theatre and the Madinat Theatre (Dubai). Greg has produced events through her company "EveryBODY on Stage" for Comedy Bar, Musical Stage Co and Buddies in Bad Times Theatre garnering him a WEBBY Award and a Premier's Award Nomination. @EveryBODYonStage
Kaleigh Castell, Assistant Stage Manager - Schoolhouse; Apprentice Assistant Stage Manager/Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Kaleigh is delighted to be returning to 4th Line Theatre as the Assistant Stage Manager for Schoolhouse. As a third-year nursing student at Trent University, she is relieved to be taking a break from the textbooks, lectures and placements, and is excited to be coming back to the Farm for her fourth season. Indigo Chesser, Actor - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Indigo is proud to return to 4th Line Theatre for her fifth season, taking on double duty at the farm this summer in both Schoolhouse and Wild Irish Geese. A Grade 11 student at Lakefield College School, she continues to grow as both a performer and emerging director. Her previous 4th Line credits include Sunny in The Great Shadow, as well as roles in The Cavan Blazers and Jim Watts: Girl Reporter and Mary Hickey in Wild Irish Geese. Additional credits include: Polly Baker in Crazy for You and Mean Girls (Lakefield College School); Matilda (North Stages); Beauty and the Beast (St. James Players); The Sound of Music (VOS) and Annie (Peterborough Theatre Guild). She also served as assistant director for Girl in the Goldfish Bowl (Peterborough Theatre Guild). Indigo is deeply grateful to the 4th Line community and her family for their continued support and for the opportunity to grow up telling stories at the Farm.
Jasper Chesser, Actor - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Jasper is excited to return to 4th Line Theatre for his fourth season. This summer, he plays Milton in Schoolhouse and reprises Mikey Hickey in Wild Irish Geese. Previous credits include: Jim Watts: Girl Reporter, The Cavan Blazers (4th Line Theatre); Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Peterborough Theatre Guild), and The Little Mermaid (St. James Players). Jasper feels incredibly lucky to spend his summers at 4th Line, performing alongside his mom and sister Indigo, where the stories, the land and the people make it feel like a second home.
Michelle Chesser, Set Designer/Actor – Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Michelle is excited to be part of 4th Line Theatre’s cast and creative team. She holds a degree in Theatre Technical Production from TMU and has been an active member of the Peterborough theatre community for nearly 30 years. This season marks her fifth with 4th Line Theatre, where she serves as set designer for Leanna Brodie’s Schoolhouse and Megan Murphy’s Wild Irish Geese, while also performing alongside her children, Jasper and Indigo. Her 4th Line Theatre credits include: The Great Shadow, The Cavan Blazers, Jim Watts: Girl Reporter and Wild Irish Geese. She has also worked with Lakefield College School, The Peterborough Theatre Guild, St. James Players and New Stages. She loves blending her passions for design and performance and especially values the time she spends creating theatre with her family.
Liam Cox, Stage Manager - Wild Irish Geese
A recent graduate of TMU’s Performance Production Program, Liam is a stage manager based in Toronto and the GTA who is passionate about creating theatre that is dynamic and full of heart. He is excited to be a part of 4th Line’s 2026 season. Stage management credits include: An Intervention (Downstage Theatre), Knife (Stagepunk Theatre), Ride the Cyclone (Shifting Ground Collective), Two Left Feet (Thaumatrope Theatre), 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Shifting Ground Collective).
Paul Crough, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Paul is thrilled to return to 4th Line Theatre and step into John Hickey’s boots once again to fight for his beloved Ireland! He has performed on stages nationally and internationally, but the pull of home has always brought him back to his roots. Paul is grateful to have worked with inspiring mentors at the Peterborough Theatre Guild, St. James Players, New Stages and 4th Line. For more than a decade, he served as Artistic Director of the Ennismore Homestead Theatre, honing his skills as a playwright, director, actor and songwriter. Recent credits include Into the Woods (St. James Players), Wild Irish Geese (4th Line), You Missed the Boat, John! (E200C), Something Rotten (Peterborough Theatre Guild) and More Than a Memory (EHT). He is forever grateful to his family for their unwavering support—and for patiently enduring his many impromptu childhood performances
Chelsea Day, Costume Designer – Schoolhouse; Assistant to the Costume Designer – Wild Irish Geese
After spending the past few years dressing the folks of Electric City Players, this is Chelsea’s second season with 4th Line Theatre as the Assistant to the Costume Designer and first season as the Costume Designer on Schoolhouse. After years of working as a personal stylist, she welcomes the challenges of dressing actors for the stage and continuing to help people put their pants on one leg at a time.
Alexei DeLuca, Actor - Schoolhouse
Alexei is thrilled to be making his 4th Line Theatre debut! Other theatre credits include Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet (Stratford Festival); The Children’s Hour, The Penelopiad, Concord Floral (Theatre@York); Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Playmakers! Monica Dottor is a 12-time Dora Mavor Moore* nominated actor/director/choreographer/ writer/designer and a four-time recipient. Monica completed her MFA in Theatre Performance/Creation/Direction. Jason Edmunds, Musician - Wild Irish Geese
Jason Edmunds is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays fiddle, mandolin, guitar and other string instruments. He is a composer, performer, teacher and producer. Jason loves all music but mainly creates in the realms of Celtic music, bluegrass and eastern European folk music. He spends his free time teaching his three children how to play music as ‘The Edmunds Family Band.’ He likes to unwind by camping and canoeing in the summer or cross-country skiing in the winter.
Mairéad Finnan, Production Assistant - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Mairéad Finnan is an emerging theatre collaborator with experience in performance, stage management, and backstage operations. She has contributed to productions including Legally Blonde: The Musical and Godspell, balancing performance with technical roles. Currently studying Cultural Studies in the Teaching Education Stream at Trent University, Mairéad is passionate about collaborative creation and bringing live performance to life through both technical and creative work
Bonnie Garland, Costume Designer - Wild Irish Geese
Bonnie Garland (she/they) is an emerging costume and scenic designer based in eastern Ontario. She loves theatre design and their interest in sustainability has also led her to delve into ecoscenography. Bonnie is a recent MFA graduate at the University of Calgary with a design/technical specialization and an alumni of the renamed Toronto Metropolitan University with a BFA in Performance Production
Matt Gilbert, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Matt Gilbert has been an actor with 4th Line Theatre and in the Peterborough area for many years. He continues performing to this very day. In the future, he plans on continuing this pursuit.
Paige Gildon-Cormier, Sound Operator - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Paige is returning for her second season at 4th Line Theatre. She is bringing newly learnt knowledge after completing her first year of Recording Engineering at Canadore College. She most recently contributed to Nippissing University’s production of Grease. Learning more about the world of sound engineering, she is excited to be back. Stew Granger*, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Stew is thrilled to be acting at the Farm again this season. Previous nearby credits include: Mr. Lawrence in Girl in the Goldfish Bowl (Peterborough Theatre Guild); Torvald in A Doll’s House, Part 2 (Northumberland Players); Monsieur Bouc in Murder On The Orient Express (VOS Theatre). Incidentally, Stew started his acting career on a farm in Manitoba as a tow-headed boy singing nonsense songs to whatever living creature would pay attention, usually the cows. Love and gratitude to Will, Rufus, Jackie and you for coming to see live theatre today.
Emma Gray, Technical Director/Head Carpenter - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Emma Gray is a passionate special effects artist and production technician dedicated to bringing imaginative visions to life. She has a deep-rooted interest for practical effects in film and a love for theatre. She specializes in prop-making and scenic art, however, her skill set also includes carpentry, metalworking, and prosthetics. She is an alumni of Sheridan College’s Technical Production for Performing Arts program, and Special Effects program. She currently works in the Greater Toronto Area and is a proud member of Alderville First Nation.
Steáfán Hannigan, Sound Designer - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Steáfán is a Dora Award nominated sound designer (Shape of Home, Festival Players, 2023). Over the last few years he has worked alongside many Indigenous theatre creators across Turtle Island. Steáfán’s theatre credits include technical director, lighting designer, sound designer, head carpenter, musician, audio technician, set builder, painter and actor. He has worked with 4th Line Theatre, Jumblies Theatre, Toronto Fringe Festival, Soulpepper, Capitol Theatre, the Lighthouse Festival Theatre, The Grove Theatre Kawartha Lakes and many more.
Justin Hiscox, Musical Director/Composer/Musician - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Justin is a composer, music director, conductor and multi-instrumentalist. He studied composition with James Tenney and free improvisation with Casey Sokol at York University in Toronto. He is the music director/composer for 4th Line Theatre (Millbrook), and TimberBeast Productions (Gravenhurst) and serves as music director for the Anne Shirley Theatre Company (Trent U.). He also serves as occasional music director for both the Peterborough Theatre Guild and for St. James Players. He conducts wind ensembles both small and large with Peterborough New Horizons Bands. He is a member of the Peterborough Pathway of Fame, finished in the finalists of the 2023 Great American Song Competition, and finished second in voting in the 2025 Broadway World Toronto Best Music Director category for 2025 for his work on Unbridled Collective's (Anita La Selva) production of The Threepenny Opera. Mark Hiscox, Actor - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Mark has been involved with 4th Line Theatre every year since 1999. Mark is an actor, conductor and musician. This year, he was most recently seen acting as Oaken in Frozen: The Disney Musical (Anne Shirley Theatre Company), and conducting the orchestras for Young Frankenstein (Peterborough Theatre Guild), and Into The Woods (St. James Players). Mark is thrilled to be reprising his roles in both Schoolhouse and Wild Irish Geese, at the Farm this summer. Mark is a member of Peterborough's Pathway Of Fame. Rainbow Kester, Actor - Schoolhouse
Rainbow Kester is an actor, playwright and director from Lake Temagami, Ontario, home of her “deep water people.” Rainbow has graduated from the University of Guelph and the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada (NTS). Adrianna Malloy, Assistant Stage Manager - Wild Irish Geese
Having just completed her first year at the University of Ottawa in the Honours BA Theatre program, Adrianna is looking forward to using the skills learned in a professional setting. She is excited to be behind the scenes this summer instead of onstage. Adrianna’s past notable performances include: Newsies (St. Peter CSS); The Cavan Blazers (4th Line Theatre) and most recently Carrie: The Musical (UOttawa Theatre Club).
Maggie Miller - Site Coordinator
Maggie is excited to be looking after the site for 4th Line Theatre this summer. She is currently pursuing her Master of Arts Management at Trent University, where she focuses on community‑driven arts programming and audience experience. Maggie looks forward to a summer of theatre, teamwork and beautiful evenings on the Farm. Enjoy the show!
Iris Muir, Actor - Schoolhouse
Iris is a Grade 9 student at St. Peter’s C.S.S, where she participates in show choir and student council. She has performed in various community shows such as The Little Mermaid, Anything Goes, High School Musical Jr. (St James Players). Most recently, she was in the company of Frozen the Broadway Musical (Anne Shirley Theatre Company). Iris is very excited for her first “serious” play and her 4th Line debut.
Megan Murphy*, Playwright/Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Megan is thrilled to fly with the Wild Irish Geese again this summer! She is a graduate of York University's Fine Arts program and has worked as an actor in film, television, theatre and radio for more than two decades. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and the Seneca College Documentary Filmmaking Institute. Locally, she spent ten years co-hosting the morning show on Star 93.3 FM Radio. Her feature documentary, "Murphy's Law" won Best Documentary Film at the Fingal Film Festival in Ireland, and her short film, "Towns End," won an Audience Choice Award at the Vox Popular Film Festival. She co-created The Verandah Society, a theatrical experience of storytelling and song, alongside singer/songwriter, Kate Suhr. Zach Newnham, Actor - Schoolhouse
Zach is back for another season at the 4th Line Theatre, in what he desires, as always, to be his best performance yet. His work in last year's season in The Housekeeper is something he holds with pride, and his passion and appreciation for the opportunities have never wavered. He can't wait to see what the summer has in store and hopes you'll enjoy the show as much as he does.
Darragh O’Connell, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Darragh O’Connell is an Irish-Canadian performer thrilled to return to 4th Line Theatre as Russell Yellowlees in Schoolhouse and reprising the role of Patrick Hickey in Wild Irish Geese. A familiar face on the 4th Line stage, his recent credits include The Cavan Blazers (2023), Jim Watts: Girl Reporter (2024), and Wild Irish Geese in the company’s 2025 season. Aengus O’Reilly, Actor - Schoolhouse
Aengus (Gus) is beyond excited to be, once again, joining the 4th Line family for his second season, in Schoolhouse. The 2025 season saw him make his debut performance in The Housekeeper. Aengus has grown up in the Peterborough theatre community and feels 4th Line Theatre is his "home away from home". He enjoys visual art, playing soccer with friends, video games, family trips and reading graphic novels. He has a cat, two bunnies and three dogs! His parents, family and friends couldn't be prouder of their little shining star. Aengus hopes all the visitors this season enjoy themselves!
Kyle Orzech*, Actor - Schoolhouse
Kyle is over the moon to be a part of Schoolhouse at 4th Line Theatre, and to be spending his summer in beautiful Millbrook with such an amazing cast and team. Previous theatre credits include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, My Mother's Lesbian Jewish Wiccan Wedding and Arcadia (Mirvish); The Divine (Shaw Festival); Theory (Tarragon Theatre); Under the Stairs (Young People's Theatre); as well as If I Were You (Theatre Aquarius). Alex Pearce, Actor - Schoolhouse
Alex Pearce is thrilled to be making her professional debut with 4th Line Theatre! Alex is an actor, singer, and dancer based in Toronto and is entering her fourth year at Toronto Metropolitan University in their BFA Performance Acting program. Theatre credits include (selected): Janet Weiss in The Rocky Horror Show (OKTC Alumni), Beth March in Little Women: The Musical (Hillcrest Village Players), Sophie Sheridan in Mamma Mia! Sebastian Sage*, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Sebastian Sage is a Toronto-based actor. He holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Montreal’s Concordia University and is a graduate of the three-year Professional Conservatory at New York’s Stella Adler Studio of Acting. He is delighted to reprise his role as Wee John in Wild Irish Geese and to be back on the Farm this summer.
Patti Shaughnessy, Actor/Indigenous Story Consultant - Wild Irish Geese
Patti Shaughnessy is a director, performer and artistic producer. She is a member of the Michi Saagig Anishnaabeg from Curve Lake First Nation #35 and a descendant of Darby and Alice Sullivan, whose story is featured in Wild Irish Geese. She has directed at the National Arts Centre and Tarragon Theatre and worked for over a decade with the National Theatre of Greenland. This marks her fourth summer performing with 4th Line Theatre in Crossings: The Bell of Batoche (2000), The Berlin Blues (2011), and Wild Irish Geese (2025, 2026).
Tina Sourani, Wardrobe Manager - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Tina Sourani is an artist with a passion for storytelling and collaboration. Since 2012, she has been involved in various theatre and film projects across Iran and Canada. Tina is proud to contribute her experiences to 4th Line Theatre, where she continues to help bring meaningful stories to life.
Mikayla Stoodley, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Mikayla is grateful to be returning to 4th Line Theatre for her fifth summer and to be celebrating the return of the Wild Irish Geese with such a beautiful cast and crew. Nancy Towns, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Born and raised in Douro (Peterborough County), within walking distance of where her ancestors settled in 1825, Nancy returned to her rural roots a decade ago after years living abroad. She has since become a part of the local theatre community thanks to Peterborough Theatre Guild productions. From a multi-generational family of musicians and oral historians, Nancy's vocal repertoire spans Canadiana, Irish traditional along with folk music of Latin America and Spain. She is honoured to return to 4th Line Theatre's singular setting and play a role based in part on her great (x4) grandmother in this timeless story of migration.
Avelyn Waldman, Costume Builder - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Avelyn Waldman is the Proprietor of Just A Simple Tailor (www.justasimpletailor.com), provider of repairs, alterations and custom garments to Peterborough. She has designed costumes at The Theatre on King and the Peterborough Theatre Guild and this is her fourth year building them for 4th Line Theatre.
Evie Wallace, Actor - Schoolhouse
Evie is thrilled to return for another summer with 4th Line in Schoolhouse. She fell in love with theatre at 4th Line in 2025 performing in The Housekeeper. Evie has been creating plays with Showmakers in Peterborough since she was six, and she performed in New Stages’ It's a Wonderful Life last December. Evie loves dance routines, skin care, hanging out with her friends, shopping, and escape rooms. Much love to Mom, Dad and Pax.
Ashley Whitten, Production & Site Operations Manager - Schoolhouse, Wild Irish Geese
Ashley is so excited to be joining the team at 4th Line for the 2026 season! Select credits include: Production Manager, Technician, Designer, Carpenter (Orillia Opera House); Assistant Technical Director (The Chrysalis Theatre); Fabricator (Secret City Adventures); Lighting Designer and Stage Manager (Heart of Riverdale); Lighting/Set Designer and Technician (Rising Tide Theatre); Set Designer and Carpenter (Gravenhurst Opera House). Martha Wilbur-Smith, Assistant to the Costume Designer - Schoolhouse
Martha is currently a fashion student at Toronto Metropolitan University. She became interested in fashion as a kid when she learned to sew. This love eventually developed into a specialization in fashion communication that combined her interest in graphic design. Martha’s work takes inspiration from her passions of synchronized swimming and scuba diving. She looks forward to being a part of creating a wonderful production!
Lindsay Wilson, Actor - Wild Irish Geese
Lindsay has appeared at the Peterborough Theatre Guild as Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible (2023), Iris in Girl in the Goldfish Bowl (2024), and Beth in Where You Are (2026). At 4th Line she has appeared in The Tilco Strike (2023), Jim Watts: Girl Reporter (2024), and Wild Irish Geese (2025). She is currently developing a play for 4th Line about the Millbrook Jail entitled The Pen. She is excited to be back on the Farm this summer reprising her role as Johanna Hickey. She has a personal connection to the region with family roots tracing back to Irish settlers who arrived in Cavan Monaghan from County Down, Ireland in 1848. A big thank you to her family, friends and castmates.
Padrick Wilson, Actor - Schoolhouse; Wild Irish Geese
Padrick Wilson is a young actor who is still rather new to the acting scene. Nevertheless, Padrick is super excited to be a part of both shows at 4th Line this summer as Dwight Varnum in Schoolhouse and to play Thomas Hickey once more in Wild Irish Geese.
Robert Winslow*, Founder, 4th Line Theatre; Actor - Schoolhouse
Robert has been involved in Canadian theatre for the past 45 years plus. His first show was prompter in a Peterborough Theatre Guild production of Playboy of the Western World by J.M. Synge. He went on to act in shows at Trent University and Magic Circus Theatre before heading out west in 1982 where he became a professional actor based in Edmonton. Returning to Peterborough in the late 1980s, Rob founded an improv company, East City Productions and was one of the founding members of the Union Theatre Collective. In 1992, he co-founded 4th Line Theatre on his family farm with Jerome Ackhurst. Since that time Rob has written or co-written 18 plays for the company as well as directing and acting in several. Rob has taught a theatre course in the Cultural Studies Department at Trent University for the past 28 years.
